1. Signal Source Support
Broadcasters need to transmit 1080P or 4K resolution programs. Currently, most digital terrestrial TV provides 1080i or 720P HD signals, while some countries and regions have begun trial broadcasting 4K ultra-HD programs. Check local signal formats before reception.
2. Antenna Requirements
For 1080P signals, a standard digital antenna is sufficient. For 4K signals, it is recommended to choose an antenna with UHF band support and higher gain, and ensure good signal strength at the installation location. Some 4K signals may use more efficient compression formats (e.g., HEVC), so antenna compatibility should be confirmed.
3. TV Compatibility
The TV must support 1080P or 4K resolution decoding. For 4K signals, the TV should also support the HEVC video decoding standard; otherwise, playback may not be possible.
4. Signal Strength
4K signals carry larger data volumes and require stronger signal strength. If the signal is weak, use an antenna with a built-in amplifier, or install it in an open area such as outside a window or on the roof.
5. Set-Top Box Requirement
Some older TVs cannot directly decode 4K signals and may require an external set-top box that supports 4K decoding.
